We're a Southern California nonprofit expanding access to beach volleyball: building and maintaining courts and opening the game to people who haven't had the chance to play.
We improve Southern California's beach courts through net repairs, slider replacements, and new poles, so athletes of every level, from casual players to competitive teams, have safe and reliable courts to enjoy.
We also work alongside community outreach programs, supporting the volleyball side of their efforts and helping introduce the game to young people and others who might not otherwise get to play.
Together, these efforts preserve and strengthen the tradition of beach volleyball in Southern California, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities for connection and growth through the sport.
Our tournaments at the North Hermosa Beach Pier are part of a multi-year agreement with the city: every SoCal Beach Foundation tournament is brought to you with support from the City of Hermosa Beach.
Every tournament entry, sponsorship, and donation goes to work in four ways.
We're committed to supporting athletes, especially in professional beach volleyball. Sponsorships grow our tournament prize pools, give real support to dedicated players, and help build a thriving athlete community that pushes the sport forward.
A significant share of the funds we raise goes toward refurbishing and improving beach volleyball courts across Southern California: net repairs, new straps, and replacement poles. Better courts mean a better game for everyone, at every level.

We reach underserved communities, aiming to build and maintain courts in areas with limited beach access due to socioeconomic factors. Born and raised in Southern California, David has played beach volleyball since he was 11, switched to indoor in college, and came back to the sand later on. You'll usually find him at high-level 4s, smiling and happy to talk volleyball with anyone.
A South Bay native training for USA Deaflympics Beach Volleyball, Kelsey founded Volley4Sound, a charity tournament honoring her late hearing specialist and raising awareness about hearing loss. Off the court, she's traveling, snowboarding, or hiking.
Mike, aka Ciav, moved to Hermosa from Cleveland 15 years ago and never looked back. He loves surfing, volleyball, and road-tripping in his '77 VW bus, Sophie. Catch him on Hermosa's beaches and say hi.
Laura (La to her friends) found volleyball at 30 and promptly moved from the East Coast to Hermosa Beach to soak up as much sun as possible. Hope to see you on the sand or out in the water.
